Moving, Pt. 1

Yay! So "Moving, Pt. 1" is almost finished! I had a big group of wonderful friends plus one wonderful boyfriend come over today and move the furniture into my storage unit. We had Sean's truck fully loaded with furniture, including my futon mattress. Then a torrential downpour started. It was quite an impressive sight seeing the four guys immediately grab the mattress and run up the stairs with it in a valiant attempt to keep it somewhat dry. We headed straight for the storage unit and were able to get the furniture dried and stored. When we returned and loaded my dining room table, which was the last of the furniture to go, it started raining again! Another mad dash to the storage unit and drying time... In both instances, it was only raining over my neighborhood, as we headed the few blocks to the storage unit, there was no rain. I must admit, I kind of felt like Eeyore: dark cloud over my head and saying, "It only rains on me." Except, all the guys had gotten drenched, too! It was however, a good reminder from God that our treasure must not be in the material things of this world-or in our looks, because it's hard to look cute for your boyfriend when you are soaking wet :0) !

A HUGE thanks to Mike, Kevin, Anthony (plus their spouses!) and Sean for all the help today! It was fun and luckily, we get to do it all over again -prayerfully, without the rain- next month!

As for Aiden and I, we are off to NC for vacation...
