Aiden @ 9 months

As of yesterday (Jul 21), Aiden is 9 months old. I cannot believe how quickly that time has gone and how much he has grown. He weighs 18.5 pounds and is 27 inches long which puts him in the 25% for babies his age. He has made a lot of progress in the last month. He waved for the first time at his Uncle Mike. He has started drinking from a sippy cup and is working on crawling, so far he can only scoot backwards! And of course, he just keeps getting cuter!
We moved into our completed room in the basement at the beginning of the month. The room looks amazing thanks to Mike, Dad, and Arlowe (Mike's dad). It has been a blessing already, providing us with privacy and more space!
We have had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with family in this past month. We have seen 3 different generations of Neubert relatives. Aiden and I spent a weekend in Faribault with his great grandmother (my grandma). We traveled up to Sauk Centre to attend my uncle's surprise 65th birthday party. Aiden's met 2 great aunts, 1 great uncle, 5 "second cousins" (and their spouses), and a bunch of "cousins-once-removed" (not sure those are the right terms). Finally, yesterday we went back to Faribault to see Aiden's great great uncle Dick and great great aunt Nora. It's been quite a whirlwind month of travel and it's not over yet; we fly to Raleigh on Aug 2nd for a long weekend back home!Aiden's new crib in our room!

"Hey look Mom...no hands"

Great great Aunt Nora

Great great Uncle Dick, who is 91, had no trouble getting down on the floor to play with Aiden!

Man those Neubert/Parker genes sure are strong. I can see your mother and aunt in Grandma Neubert and can see you and your brothers in Aiden. That's awesome. Am I seeing RED hair or was that just the lighting?
